Intramural sports are the most personalized student sports organization on campus. IM sports offer a chance for you and your friends to play against other groups on the campus without the dedication of club sports. It’s a great opportunity to stay active, play with friends and meet new people in a way that works around your class schedule.

Intramural ports is the ultimate on campus experience. Not only do you play against your fellow students, but your classmates are the referees! Skill levels range from former NCAA athletes to beginners, and there is a league for everyone. No need to be a pro, because IM Sports has something for everyone. From soccer to broomball, IM Sports knows that you plan to go pro in something other than sports, but for one hour every week you don’t have to think so.

Club Sports

Club Curling

Club Curling

Club sports are student-run organizations for students who want to continue playing sports at a competitive level or are looking to find their new passion. The largest student organization at DU with more than 700 participants in 2011-12, club sports features 30 different clubs to choose from, such as basketball, curling, soccer, Ultimate Frisbee, and both men and women’s rugby.

Clubs are open to all DU students and welcome everyone to come out and join. Some clubs have tryouts and compete regionally and nationally, while others compete locally. Five teams have already qualified for national competitions this fall, and many more are working towards competing in national events.

They are a great way to meet new students as well as travel to other parts of the state and country while being involved in something you are passionate about. For more information about an individual club, visit the club sports website. Students can register for club sports all year. Don’t wait to join!
