HOCKEY CLINICS & INSTRUCTIONWork on your hockey skills with "Hockey College" & private coaching
We also offer private hockey coaching sessions, formerly known as “Coached Stick & Puck”, for players ages 5 and older with a DU-approved coach.
Our open scrimmages allow players to work on skills away from the pressure of competitive games and just play hockey. The scrimmages will be supervised by coaches who can provide structure to the skate if needed.

Private Hockey Coaching
Previously known as “Coached Stick & Puck”, our private hockey coaching sessions allow you to practice your skating and hockey skills throughout the year.
Participation is open to players ages 5 and older, and all participants must be accompanied by a DU approved coach.
To coordinate with an approved coach, please contact Shawn Reid at 303-871-3388.
There are two ways you can register for private hockey coaching:
Current punch pass holders can sign up 24 hours in advance of a scheduled session. Please call 303-871-3904, or stop by the Joy Burns Arena front desk to sign up.
In-person sign-up begins at the Joy Burns Arena front desk one hour before the scheduled session. We recommend you get a 10-punch pass and pre-register.
Participants have two options for parking during Private Hockey Coaching sessions:
Lot 401 near Joy Burns Arena will only be available to punch pass holders, who can receive a monthly permit for access to the lot.
Jr. Pioneers Hockey participants and Coors Fitness Center members can also receive on-campus parking permits.
Hourly meter parking is available in Lot 311 and along Buchtel Blvd. for participants who do not hold a punch pass or are attending a single Private Hockey Coaching session.
For additional information, please contact Jesse Badder at 303-871-3396 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
