If you’ve spent any time at the Ritchie Center this week, chances are you’ve seen a new face! Andrea Eaton comes to us as the new Director of Fitness and Aquatics, overseeing the Coors Fitness Center and El Pomar Natatorium operations. From West Virginia originally, Andrea has spent time in different parts of the country, most recently in Albuquerque, New Mexico where she was the General Manager at a similar fitness center to the Coors Fitness Center called Sports and Wellness.
Andrea’s education began at Wingate University in North Carolina with an undergraduate degree in Sports Medicine. Her undergraduate education wasn’t enough, as she pursued not one… but two masters from the United States Sports Academy in Alabama! Her masters degrees are in Sport Management and Sport Coaching which led her into the fitness and wellness field, making her a great addition to the Ritchie Center and Coors Fitness Center teams!
Andrea lived in Denver years ago and previously worked at the Colorado Athletic Club. She is most excited to return to Colorado to fulfill her outdoorsy passions outside of work. When not at the Ritchie Center, you might be able to find Andrea playing disc golf, camping, hiking, skiing, playing guitar or hanging out with her awesome dog named Jack.
A former college and semi-pro basketball player, Andrea loves being around athletics in a competitive environment and is excited to be a part of the Pioneer family. Help us in welcoming Andrea when you see her around the building in the coming weeks!
