Club Curling

Club Curling opens the door to this unique sport for students on the University of Denver campus.

Club Curling provides members the opportunity to compete in local leagues, and regional and national tournaments through the Denver Curling Club and other organizations.

Our team practices weekly in Joy Burns Arena. We do not require any previous curling experience, and we group members according to their experience levels.

We invite you to come out to our practices and experience this unique sport. Please contact any of our officers, listed below, if you have any questions or would like additional information about our team.

Curling is a 400-year old sport that has changed little. It is played on a sheet of ice with eight stones delivered to each team per game. The goal is to be the team with the stone closest to center of the house.

One point is awarded for each stone closer than your opponent’s closest stone. Only one team can score per end, and there are eight ends per game.

Support Club Curling

Club Curling continues its involvement locally with the Denver Curling Club and with other local teams in Colorado. After qualifying for Nationals in 2016, we are looking for financial support with travel as we plan our trips to the Midwest to compete against some of the top teams in the country.
