The Coors Fitness Center is helping to promote women’s health through Breast Cancer Awareness this October. With the help of Kaiser Permanente, find out more about Women’s Health Month and living life to the fullest with these tips:
- Proceed with confidence. Becoming more knowledgeable about mammograms can help ease the apprehension. Find more resources online tied to breast cancer awareness.
- Lifestyle reccomendations to lower your risk of cancer include getting at least 150 minutes of moderate activity or 75 minutes of vigorous activity each week, limiting your calories to help reduce weight gain and avoiding or limiting your alcohol intake.
- There is no “magic bullet” food or substance for cancer protection. Your best approach is a plant-based diet including veggies, fruits, whole grains and beans.
