Daily Workouts Banner Keep fit with a different work out every day from our staff! Here are the daily workouts for August 26 – September 1, 2013.

We always recommend that you stretch and complete a five-minute warm-up before and a five-minute cool-down after every workout.

MONDAY, AUGUST 26 – Lower Body Workout

Details: Complete five sets of the following exercises:

  • Run: 1/4 mile
  • Back extensions: 20 reps
  • Hanging leg lifts: 20 reps

TUESDAY, AUGUST 27 – 25-20-15-10-5 Countdown

Details: Complete five sets of the following exercises, beginning with 25 reps in the first set and then subtracting five reps from each following set (20, then 15, then 10, then 5):

  • Burpee pull-ups
  • Front squat and press

WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 28- For Time Workout

Details: Complete the following exercises as quickly as possible:

  • Pull-ups: 20 reps
  • Walking lunges: 25 reps
  • Dips: 30 reps
  • Sit-ups: 35 reps
  • Box jumps: 50 reps
  • Jump rope (double unders): 50 reps
  • Hanging leg lifts: 35 reps
  • Dumbbell swings: 30 reps
  • Back extensions: 25 reps
  • Burpees: 20 reps

THURSDAY, AUGUST 29 – Bodyweight and Sprint

Details: Complete three sets of the following exercises:

  • Sprint: 30 seconds
  • Push-ups: 50 reps
  • Sprint: 30 seconds
  • Squats: 50 reps
  • Sprint: 30 seconds
  • Sit-ups: 50 reps

FRIDAY, AUGUST 30 – Full-Body Timed Workout

Details: Complete as many sets as possible in 20 minutes:

  • Dumbbell swings: 15 reps
  • Dips: 10 reps
  • Sit-ups: 20 reps

SATURDAY, AUGUST 31 – 15-Minute Core Workout

Details: Complete as many sets of 15 reps each as possible in 15 minutes:

  • Sit-ups
  • Oblique twists
  • Hanging leg lifts
  • Back extensions

SUNDAY, September 1 – 20-Minute Push It

Details: Complete as many sets in 20 minutes as possible:

  • Run: 1/4 mile
  • Push-ups: as many as possible
  • Sit-ups: as many as possible
