Registration & Waitlist

Registration

To register for Learn Gymnastics, please call 303-871-3925.

While all of our levels are currently full, we encourage you to call us to be added to our waitlist.

Waitlist

Due to the popularity of our program, new Learn Gymnastics participants may be placed on a waitlist before registering.

The waitlist for girls and boys beginner, and Saturday preschool classes is currently full.

Waitlist FAQ

Why will you place my child on the waitlist?

If your child would like to join the program but classes are full, we will add them to the waitlist.

When will my child be placed on the priority waitlist?

There are three ways to be added to the priority waitlist:

  • Your child is currently enrolled in the program and needs to change class days.
  • Your child has received approval to advance to the next class level from his/her instructor, but that level is full.
  • You would like to put a sibling of a currently enrolled participant in a class.
How does the waitlist process work?

After priority registration for current students has concluded, the priority waitlist will be contacted first.

If spaces remain after the priority waitlist is contacted, affiliate waitlist registration will begin. Affiliate registration is offered to families that:

  • have been on the waitlist for more than four months
  • are DU faculty or staff
  • are Coors Fitness Center members
  • attend Fisher Early Learning Center
  • or attend the Ricks Center

The final phase of registration is offered to all remaining students on the external waitlist.

You will be contacted about the waitlist by phone or email.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I register my child for Learn Gymnastics?

You can register by calling our registration desk at 303-871-3925 or stopping by the gymnastics office. Because our Learn Gymnastics program is so popular, it is important to register early.

Often times, our program is full, and it’s not possible to register immediately. In this case, we’ll add your child to a waitlist.

What is priority registration?

In the last two weeks of each series, we give current participants the opportunity to re-register for the same class time, level and day.

Current participants have until the last class of the current series to re-register in the same class. Following the last class day, we’ll give any unclaimed spots to members of the waitlist. You can register at the front desk or by phone at 303-871-3925.

Our front desk hours begin at 9:30 a.m. Monday-Thursday mornings and at 5:30 p.m. in the evenings.

What happens if I miss priority registration?

If you do not re-enroll your child during priority registration, you may still be able to enroll in a Learn Gymnastics class.

Please call the front desk immediately if you miss priority registration and would like to re-enroll. If your spot has been taken, we’ll do our best to find an opening that accommodates your needs. If we can’t find a spot, we’ll place you on the waitlist.

How do I get on the waitlist?

To have your child’s name added to our waitlist, call 303-871-3925 or email gymnastics-rec@du.edu. You must provide the following information:

  • Names of participant/guardian
  • Top three choices of desired class (level, day and time)
  • Preferred contact information

We’ll notify you if a Learn Gymnastics spot becomes available. For more information, refer to our waitlist policies.

Can I transfer classes after I register?

Though we strongly encourage participants to keep the same schedule throughout the series, we also make every effort to accommodate your needs.

If you’d like to request a transfer, please contact the front office. If we can’t accommodate your change request, we’ll add you to the waitlist and notify you when a spot becomes available.

What should my child wear to class?

Participants must wear comfortable clothing that is easy to move in yet not excessively baggy. A leotard is recommended for girls and shorts and a T-shirt for boys. Hair should be tied back. Jewelry and watches are not allowed.

How do I know when my child is ready to move to the next level?

Throughout each series, our instructors complete an assessment of each participant’s progress. Once your child has mastered the required skills, his/her instructor will recommend advancing to the next level.

What is your make-up class policy?

Because of extremely high enrollment in Learn Gymnastics classes, we can’t accommodate requests for make-up classes. We only offer make-up classes when the absence is the result of a gym closure.
