The Coors Fitness Center is set to reopen on Thursday, September 3, for DU students, faculty and staff.
COVID-19 has changed the way the fitness center will operate, including access and in-venue procedures.
How to Access the Coors Fitness Center
Step 1: Complete all return to campus steps. This includes setting your campus return date in PioneerWeb; completing the "Pathway Back to Campus" course; completing and verifying a 14-day self quarantine; monitoring daily symptoms; and completing the COVID-19 molecular test.
Step 2: Complete the Coors Fitness Center pre-activity registration form. All visitors will need to complete this form 48 hours in advance of their first visit back to the Coors Fitness Center.
- Helpful Tip: To log in to the system, you will need your PioneerWeb/DU ID number. If you are logging in for the first time, your password will be your DU ID number. If you have changed your password, please use your changed password.
Step 3: Plan your visit. After you complete the pre-registration form, check the Coors Fitness Center hours and available capacity. Please abide by our updated protocols and procedures at all times when in the Coors Fitness Center.
Step 4: Enter only using the south doors (located near Asbury Ave.). You will need your Pioneer ID Card. Once inside the facility, check-in with the front desk and our staff will confirm that all prior steps have been completed.
Showers, locker rooms and restroom access have changed. Please note that shower/locker room access are reserved for students, faculty or staff who have a paid rented locker in the corresponding locker room. General restrooms can be access on the lower level at the pool lobby in the hallway on your left.
Additional changes in the Coors Fitness Center to note:
- A mask or facial covering must be worn at all times.
- Plus one and family memberships are not available at this time.
- Locker room access is restricted to those students, faculty or staff who have paid for a locker.
- You are encouraged to limit your workout to 60 minutes.
- No working in sets or spotting is allowed.
- Please bring your own water. Water fountains and refill stations have been disabled for health and safety purposes.
- Group fitness, open recreation basketball, squash and racquetball are not available at this time for health and safety purposes.
- The Coors Fitness Center will close daily from 1:30-3:00 p.m. to disinfect the facility.
- You must wipe down equipment before and after each use.
- Open lap swimming is available during select times for DU students, faculty and staff.
